Ábaco Magazine is one of the additional benefits you receive as a result of being an Abaco client. It’s not the only one. We aim to ensure that our clients receive services above and beyond what you would normally expect from asesores or tax lawyers.

The site is secure and you can send and download documents from it. These include non-resident declarations and the letters which we send out at intervals. You will receive advanced notification through Ábaco Online of payments that will be made on your behalf. You have no need to do anything yourself but it keeps you informed about your affairs in Spain.
It’s also an easy way of getting in touch with our team of legal and tax lawyers. This is particularly useful if you need to let us know about a change in your contact details or if your personal situation has changed in a way that might affect your taxes. For example, if you have bought or sold a property or have a new bank account.

My mother has property in both Spain and Portugal. Can you handle all her needed paperwork for both locations in the event of her death, or incompetency,?. The intentions are to sell the Portuguese property and keep the Marbella property and live in that. She currently lives in that.
Does she put this in a trust? Does she add me to title of her property?
Do you take care of Trusts? Power of attorneys so I can complete all transactions in both countries?
She can be a stubborn old bird! She did things probably 40 years ago, thinks its all done. But did not have this Marbella property. She says, oh my attorney has it? Really? Who? is he is Portugal or Spain, as far as we know its Portugal. Is he alive? Laws updated?
Things are sent to us in scraps instead of a picture of everything! Not to make a darn thing easy? I say she should send us a key to her apartments. No, she thinks we can find the mgr. AT this time she is going thru macular degeneration as well. Can you help us and lead us in the right direction. My mother is an American citizen and has lived there for over 65 years. Will your company fit all our needs?

Definitively we could assist you in case of a future inheritance wherever the Estate is located. In your comments there are other points that need to be clarified in order to give you the best advice. We would need to check with you the exact documentation we could obtain from you/your mother and discuss the best option for your case: sale, trust or planning the inheritance trough a will. I have seen a property I am interested in buying.
It is advertised as residential. ( and apartment with 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom )
But it is clearly being used as an office area, no kitchen and 2 toilets, no bathroom.
I would like to reform back into a residential apartment and install a kitchen space and two bathrooms.
How can I confirm that it would be approved for this use before I purchase it? The floor plan and structure seems to be tach for this to happen. The building is in Jerez and is an old traditional building. The downstairs is a cafe, I can see in the rest of the building is a airbnb and a yoga studio.

Hi, do you deal with non residents tax?
We have owned for a few years and last made tax payments for 2019 and due to an issue with a lawyer we know we need to pay 2020 and 2021.
Can you advise if you deal with this, if it’s possible to do from the UK and if so what are your fees?

Yes, we do deal with the non resident income tax and can surely assist you in the process should you wish to arrange this. We can arrange it via email without you having to travel to Spain from the UK.
Our fees are 154 € per year (VAT included). For every additional property, including garages and storerooms, a charge of 24€ will be made
